World Kindness Day is a global observance dedicated to promoting and celebrating acts of kindness. This day serves as a reminder of the positive impact that kindness can have on individuals, communities, and the world at large. It encourages people to perform intentional acts of kindness and foster a culture of compassion and generosity. At Chavez, we will celebrate World Kindness Day by asking students and staff to reflect on what kind acts others have done for them and what they could do for others. Together, we can make a difference!

This holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respect to loved ones who have died. Students and staff were invited to bring a picture of their loved ones to display on the ofrenda table.

Because the State does not provide complete or reliable funding for facilities, schools cannot maintain safe learning environments that meet current instructional standards without a local funding source. In order to complete identified repairs and improvements across all school sites, the CUSD Board of Trustees is considering placing a local bond measure on the ballot next year for local voters to consider. To learn more, please visit www.ceres.k12.ca.us/page/facilities-upgrades.
